The Ghana Post Company Limited is calling on all Ghanaians to download and register their respective digital addresses of their homes and businesses.

The company has also hinted that it is ever ready to offer any kind of assistance to various groups including churches, schools, businesses and all identifiable groups to enable them generate their digital addresses.

The Ghana Post Company announced this in a press release issued in Accra on Friday which was signed by its Corporate Communications Manager, Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe.

The Ghana Post Company Limited wishes to urge the general public to download and generate their respective digital addresses of their homes and businesses.

Since the launch of the National Digital Property Addressing System (NDPAS) in October 2017, by the President of the Republic H.E. Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Digital Address system is providing an effective means of addressing every location and property to facilitate the implementation of key government policies.

The digital address generated from the system is a mandatory requirement in getting the National Identification Card (Ghana Card), as well as other services.

Every digital address generated from the system is unique to each property and has a maximum of Eleven (11) alpha-numeric characters which reflect Region, District and Post Code (eg. GA-183-8164).

The App GhanaPostGPS can be downloaded from Google Playstore or Appstore. Following the prompts on the app will help you install and generate your address.

The Chief of Staff on 7th March, 2018 issued a directive to all Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as MMDAs to adopt the digital address as the official address system for the delivery of government services and contracts.

She again directed that digital addresses should reflect on all official correspondence of government institutions.

Ghana Post would also like to inform the general public that organizations, identifiable groups, schools, churches and all other stakeholders can invite us to organize training on the activation of the system and the generation of digital addresses.
